TORQ

Tokenomics

The launch plan for TORQ in plain words: supply, how it is split, the team lock and where the money in the game goes. A plan, not a promise.

The token in short#

NameTORQ, the currency of Torque Club
ChainSolana
LaunchFair launch on pump.fun
Total supply1,000,000,000 TORQ
PresaleNone
PremintNone
LiquidityThe liquidity pool (LP) is burned at graduation

The open beta uses a test token on Solana devnet (see Wallet), not this token. These are the rules planned for the real launch; the numbers and wallets are checked and published when it happens.

Launch allocation#

93.5% community, bought on the curve · about 2% team, locked on-chain · about 4.5% reward pot seed

The team and the pot seed come from a dev buy of about 6.5% of the supply (about 2 SOL, made inside the token-creation transaction). It is split publicly right after launch. The 6.5% is an estimate on the classic curve and is verified at launch.

Team lock and sell rules#

The team's share is locked on-chain. It unlocks in 10 equal tranches of 10%, one every 5 days after the token launch:

Day after launchUnlocksCumulative
Day 510% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)10%
Day 1010% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)20%
Day 1510% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)30%
Day 2010% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)40%
Day 2510% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)50%
Day 3010% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)60%
Day 3510% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)70%
Day 4010% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)80%
Day 4510% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)90%
Day 5010% (about 2M TORQ, 0.2% of supply)100%

Each tranche is sold with at most 2% price impact per sale. The result is small, predictable sales on a public schedule, locked on-chain until each date. These are rules the team commits to follow when selling, not predictions.

Where the money in the game goes#

Whatever players spend in the game is split between three places: the pot (shared with players, see The daily pot), the treasury (the project's own balance) and the burn (removed forever).

Arena duels6% of the two wagers together4%1%1%
Market sales5% of the price, paid by the seller2.5%2.5%0%

The rest of the tournament tickets and of the Arena wagers goes to the players who win them. A Market buyer pays exactly the listed price and the seller receives the price minus the fee. A withdrawal pays a small fee that covers the network cost of sending the tokens, a fraction of a US cent (see Wallet).

The beta uses these same splits with test TORQ, so we can see how they behave.

How burns happen#

Burns are real transactions, even on devnet. When you open a crate, the burn part is burned on-chain right away. All the other burns and the treasury part are settled once an hour in a single batch. Every transaction is public on the Transparency page, together with the proof of reserves and the wallet balances.

Creator fees#

When a token trades on pump.fun, the creator receives a fee in SOL. The plan for it:

80% goes to the team · 20% is used to buy TORQ back into the reward pot

The buyback depends on the fees actually collected. It is a rule, not a promise of any amount, and not a promise about the price.

Public wallets#

The project's wallets are meant to be public: the dev wallet, the team lock, the reward pot and the treasury. Their addresses will be published on the website at launch. The treasury also follows public rules for selling TORQ, published together with the wallets.

What this page is not#

  • It is not a forecast, a promise or advice. We do not talk about price and we do not say how much anyone can make.
  • Nobody on the team will send you a private message about it. See Safety.
  • If anything here changes before launch, it will be announced on the official website and Discord, and on this wiki.
