TORQ
TORQ
What TORQ is in the beta, how it moves on Solana devnet, what is planned for the real token, and what we do and do not say about it.
In the beta: test TORQ on devnet#
During the beta, TORQ is test money. You receive 750,000 test TORQ the first time you sign in with a wallet, and you spend it on crates, recipes, service, tuning, rebuilds, tournament tickets and Arena wagers.
The beta runs on Solana devnet, a practice network. Your in-game balance is kept by the game's server, and you can deposit and withdraw test TORQ between the game and your own wallet, so that we can test the whole flow before the real token exists. How that works is on the Wallet page, and the live numbers (burns, proof of reserves, public wallets) are on the Transparency page of the website.
What the beta is for: finding bugs, tuning prices and rewards, and learning how the pot, the tournament, the Arena and the Market behave with real players.
Where TORQ goes#
Everything you spend in the game is split, and the split is public: a part feeds the daily pot, a part is burned (removed forever) and, on some spends, a part goes to the project treasury. The pot is made of TORQ that already exists in the game, not new TORQ created out of nothing, and nobody can promise how big it will be. The exact splits are on the Tokenomics page. Burns are real on-chain transactions, even on devnet: you can see them on the Transparency page.
Later: the real token#
The plan is a TORQ token on Solana. The details, dates and links will be announced only through the official channels listed in Safety. Until then:
- There is no real token yet, so anything claiming to be "the TORQ token" is not ours.
- We do not discuss price, and we do not promise that TORQ will be worth anything. Its value can go to zero.
- TORQ is a utility token for the game. Playing is meant to be fun first. The token is an extra layer, not the reason to play.
What we will never say#
You will not see us talk about "ROI", "payback", "guaranteed earnings" or "investment". The game is a game. The pot is shared by skill and activity, and its size can go up or down.
